About the artist
Peter M. Malsovsky is a prominent Czech painter and illustrator and one of the leading personalities of the Czech post-modernist art scene. His works can be found in private collections and galleries in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, England and the United States. His illustrations are enjoyed by readers in Central Europe and South America.
Between 1977 and 1980 he studied at the School of Architecture and Design of Prague University at the same time taking private lessons with the renowned Czech painter Jan Bauch and with professor Jaroslav Riedelberg. During the years between 1992 and 1996 he served as a chairman of the Czech association of avant-garde artists Sedmá Pečeť. In 1998 he founded an art and design firm active in Prague, Czech Republic and since 2011 also in Edina, Minnesota.
